Pickleball Finland

Welcome to play pickleball in December 2023 in Espoo, Finland in a great atmosphere! This will be our 6th Christmas tournament. Pickleball is fun, so come along and enjoy the day by playing the fastest growing sport in the US! Everyone is warmly welcome, regardless of their age or skill level.

Tournament details:

Date & time: 2–3 December 2023 at 9am–7pm (schedule of events will be confirmed later).
Deadline for registration: 23 November. Ask for last minute spots!

- Women's Doubles
- Men's Doubles Open
- Men's Doubles Intermediate
- Men's Doubles 60+
- Mixed Doubles Open
- Mixed Doubles Intermediate
- Men's Singles Open
- Men's Singles Intermediate
Women's Doubles teams are allowed to participate in Men's Doubles Open. Female are also allowed to participate in Men's Singles Open
You can play only in one Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Singles event
Tournament fees: one event = 35 €/player, two events = 55 €/player, three events = 75 €/player
Tournament ball: Franklin X-40 (optic yellow, USAP approved). Men's Doubles 60+ will be played with the Penn 40 ball (yellow, USAP approved)
The tournament will be played on acrylic tennis courts (GreenSet Comfort surface) w/ taped pickleball lines
Up to 8 pickleball courts available, even more if needed
The organizer has the right to combine or cancel events if insufficient entries.

In each event the minimum is five (5) teams/players and each is guaranteed minimum four (4 ) games.

Please send in your registration as soon as possible. Registration deadline is Thursday 23 November.

If a player cancels their registration after 27 November, the tournament fees will not be refunded.
If the minimum amount of teams/players have not registered and merging events is not possible, the registration fees for that specific event may be refunded. Same applies if a partner can't be found for a player in an event they've registered in.

Note:

Please try to confirm your playing partner already before sending your registration. Tell their name in the registration form. This procedure saves a lot of time and payment refunds
Please note that each player must fill up the registration form individually
If your intention is play in more than one event, please register for all of them at the same time. The system does not allow registrations and payments made one by one for each event
Even though you wouldn't have partner(s) beforehand, you are still welcome to register. We will try to find partner(s) for you.

Accommodation and directions:

Some of the hotels closest to the venue are Scandic Espoo and GLO Hotel Sello (Espoo).
The tournament venue is easy to reach from Helsinki center and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. There's a train station ("Koivuhovi") about 700 metres from. The train takes ca. 20 mins from Helsinki Center to the venue.
